A splendidly silly Adam Sandler film, with Sandler and Kevin James as New York firefighters who pretend to be a couple so Larry can keep his kids’ benefits. The all-star cast — Jessica Biel, Ving Rhames, Steve Buscemi, Dan Aykroyd and more — never take themselves too seriously, and that is exactly the point.
It falls squarely in the Infantile category, one of this reviewer’s favourite categories. If you are an Adam Sandler fan it is definitely worth watching. 5/5 for me.
If you like the crude energy of CHiPs (2017) or The Inbetweeners Movie, this is well worth a night in with a beer and a pizza.
