David Gordon Green’s Your Highness is one of this reviewer’s favourites — a crude fantasy romp with Danny McBride as the lazy prince Thadeous and James Franco as his heroic brother Fabious. Natalie Portman, Damian Lewis, Toby Jones, Justin Theroux, Zooey Deschanel and Charles Dance are all in it, and those excellent actors — McBride and company included — should know the film has many, many fans, including this reviewer.
It belongs squarely in the Infantile category, which this reviewer loves. Real easy viewing for relaxation. 5/5 for me.
James Franco and Danny McBride turn up again in This Is the End (2013), where Seth Rogen’s character tells them not to make Your Highness 2 — a neat little nod if you have already watched this one.
